Efficiency Rebates & More!

Columbia Rural Electric Association (CREA) is committed to helping you reduce your bill, and we are dedicated to energy conservation.

“Co-ops have been engaged in promoting and utilizing energy efficiency and demand response for decades. It’s part of what we do,” says Alan Shedd, Touchstone Energy® Cooperatives principal for resident and commercial energy.

Columbia REA partners with Bonneville Power (BPA) here in the pacific northwest to bring you 90% renewable energy, mostly power from our Dams. This energy resource is precious, and our demand is increasing.

When everyone pulls together to save, it benefits us all. If we save energy, fewer expensive power plants will need to be built. Members’ bills are reduced, and the demand on the grid is lowered, reducing the need for expensive upgrades. And it is the right thing to do for the environment.

What Can You Do To Help Save Power?

These programs have been created with great thought from the energy efficiency engineers at BPA to ensure that they provide the greatest bang for the buck for all. Although some may request some details, these details are there to make sure the program works, so your bill is lower, and the load on the system is reduced.

And here’s a great way to save, we can provide a $140 rebate on a new energy-saving thermostat. Just make sure it matches the approved device list.

Additional Rebates & More Online

We offer a wide range of opportunities to save with efficiency upgrades on our website, including:

  • Up to $1,100 on an HP Water heater.
  • Up to $2.00 per square foot on insulation upgrades.
  • Up to $8.00 per square foot for efficient window upgrades.
  • Up to $1,200 for a new heat pump with an additional $250 for duct sealing.

Remember, not only do you get the rebates, but your bill should be smaller and your home more comfortable. It’s a Win/Win for all!

If you have any questions, please contact us to discuss what might be the best match for you. We are here to help you lower your bill and maybe even get a little money back on your efficiency upgrades.
