Academic Scholarships

Columbia REA established the academic scholarship program in 1999. This year, the Clark A. Brewington Scholarship Program, named in memory of former Columbia REA General Manager, Clark Brewington, will award three (3) academic scholarships to deserving students living within the Columbia REA service area.

The Clark A. Brewington Memorial Scholarship is in the amount of $3,000, renewable for four consecutive academic years (total value $12,000).

A volunteer committee made up of Columbia REA members evaluate applicants from High Schools within the Columbia REA service area. Students are asked to submit a 350-word essay, transcripts, and letters of recommendation from school and community leaders.
