Every month here at Columbia REA we have a Safety Meeting. Safety is our number one priority so no matter what, we gather the staff together in a room (or when necessary, on ZOOM) and cover all the company goings-on, and then, depending on the topic, either the entire staff or just the Line Crews and Internet Technicians (field personnel) cover one safety topic in-depth.
But, sometimes we also like to have a little fun. Such was the case at our January Safety Meeting Tailgate Party!
Snacks are always a part of our Safety Meetings, but in January, we decided to take it to the next level. Twenty people brought all kinds of tasty tailgate-themed dishes, everything from delicious dips and delectable desserts to more traditional tailgate fare, such as chili, chicken wings and hot dogs.
Everything was fantastic…believe me, I know. But there were favorites, and a champion was crowned. Lineman John Brown was voted by his colleagues as the Grand Prize winner for his entry, BBQ Pig Shots. And in case you need something for your upcoming Super bowl parties, the recipe is below.
But first, I’d like to thank all the staff for making this a great way to start the year. Can’t wait to see what we have cooking for next month!
Bon Appetit!
