Rate Structure

Columbia Rural Electric Association (REA) strives to offer low-cost reliable electricity to our service area. Columbia REA currently offers 5 different rate classes depending on your service needs.

Columbia REA purchases the vast majority of its power from the Bonneville Power Administration. In addition, we have a small market purchase contract to meet our needs. We have a fixed-price contract for all of our energy and transmission needs. We also have a special rate from Bonneville for purchases in the summer months. This helps to keep our irrigation rates low. These power purchase agreements coupled with our operational efficiency initiatives work to keep rates low for our member-owners.
