Clark A. Brewington Memorial Scholarship

Columbia REA established the academic scholarship program in 1999. The Clark A. Brewington Scholarship Program, named in honor of former Columbia REA General Manager, Clark Brewington, will award three (3) academic scholarships to deserving students living within the Columbia REA service area. In order to be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must fill out the following form and include/attach all required documents. Applicant or applicant's parent/legal guardian must also be a member of, and have an active account where electrical service is provided by Columbia REA.

I am a graduating high school senior where I or my legal guardians are a member of, and have an active account where electrical service is provided by Columbia REA.

I have read and understand that my application and all relevant and required materials must be received by Columbia REA postmarked no later than Monday, February 19, 2023 to be considered as a candidate for this year’s scholarship program.

I understand that, if selected to receive a Columbia REA scholarship, I must agree to personally accept the initial scholarship award at the next Columbia REA annual membership meeting to be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023. I also agree to assist CREA Staff during the meeting with various tasks and to be photographed.

I understand that, if selected to receive a Columbia REA scholarship, I am eligible to receive it for four consecutive academic years provided I maintain at least a 2.75 GPA and remain enrolled as a student in good standing at an accredited educational institution. I will annually provide my school transcript with GPA as proof that I remain eligible to receive the scholarship.

I understand that if I am awarded a Columbia REA scholarship and, for some unforeseen reason, am not able to continue with my education or training. I must notify the Columbia REA Member Services Department.
