Marilyn Hawkins is a corporate communications consultant who has worked with a diverse group of organizations over the past 35+ years. Before forming Hawkins & Company PR, she was VP/Marketing at The Rockey Company and VP/Public Relations at Sharp Hartwig Advertising in Seattle. While in graduate school, she did a two-year paid internship at Seattle City Light.
Hawkins is an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America and past Puget Sound Chapter President. A Humanities graduate of Washington State University, she completed all coursework for a master’s in English at the University of Washington and taught five years in the UW’s PR Certificate program.
Client experience includes AT&T, Xerox, The Oregon Community Foundation, Medtronic/ Physio-Control, The Home Depot, Swedish Health Services, Kimberly-Clark, the John Stanford International School and many others.

A native of Pasco, Hawkins relocated to Walla Walla in 2016. She serves on the Advisory Committee for the Enology & Viticulture Program at Walla Walla Community College and teaches the “Writing for Wineries” course. She is a member of the 2017-2018 Leadership Walla program, the WSU Alumni Association, the American Association of University Women and the SE Washington Aging & Long-term Care Council of Governments.
Timothy Ruybalid has been a resident of Walla Walla for two years. Tim is the branch manager at U.S. Bank in Walla Walla and previously worked for U.S. Bank on the Olympic Peninsula in western Washington where he lived in Port Townsend for ten years. He is a graduate of Walla Walla University and his wife, Marion, is a graduate of Whitman College and together they have eight children.
Glen Shipley is a retired business executive with experience as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer and General Counsel in multiple companies ranging from start-ups to publicly traded entities. He holds BA (Cum Laude) and MBA degrees from UCLA and a JD (Magna Cum Laude) degree from Seattle University. Mr. Shipley is also an inactive CPA, CGMA and attorney. His last position was as CFO for a publicly traded B-to-B cloud based SAAS messaging company (NASDAQCM: ESIC), which was sold to Canada’s largest software company. He has worked with private equity, venture capital, commercial banks and investment bankers on numerous capital raises and business transactions in both domestic and international settings. His experience also includes interfacing with federal, state and local regulatory agencies. Mr. Shipley has been a director or officer of numerous commercial enterprises and continues to consult for business on a part-time basis through a Seattle based consulting firm. He currently resides on the South Side of Walla Walla where he and his wife farm a small vineyard.
